Ordering From Meyer Hatchery:
Pro Tips for Adding Birds and Saving Payment Information

When ordering from Meyer Hatchery, we understand that flexibility and convenience are key to creating your perfect flock. Here’s a helpful tip to make your ordering process easier, especially if you’re hoping to add to an existing order or secure a breed that’s temporarily out of stock.
Use the What’s Hatching Page for Real-Time Availability
Our What’s Hatching page is an excellent resource to stay updated on availability. You can filter by hatch dates, gender, and other preferences to help you find the birds that best meet your needs. However, with high demand, some breeds may sell out quickly or not be immediately available. If that happens, don’t worry! You can sign up for back-in-stock notifications.
If a breed is sold out, simply visit the breed page of the bird you’re interested in and input your email. You’ll receive an alert if that breed becomes available again on any date. This is especially useful since availability can change based on hatch rates and order adjustments.
Adding to Your Order
If you receive a back-in-stock notification for a breed you’ve been eyeing, and it matches your current hatch date, you can add it to your existing order. However, if the hatch date doesn’t align, you’ll need to place a separate order or wait for availability on your preferred date.
To add chicks to an existing order, contact our customer service team. We’re available by phone during regular business hours, through chat and text with extended hours, and we even monitor emails on weekends and holidays!
Pro Tip: Call in to Add a Card on File for Easy Changes
Here’s the most important part of this ordering tip: If you receive a back-in-stock notification outside of phone hours, we can’t process your addition until we’re able to take your payment. While we can’t accept card information through chat or email for your security, you can call ahead to put a card on file.
Once you’ve placed an initial order, contact us over the phone at 419-945-2651 to securely add your card to your account. With a card on file, you can, dependent on availability, add chicks to your order via chat or email, even if it’s outside our regular phone hours. This flexibility can be the difference between securing that perfect bird and missing out due to timing. Please be aware, emails are generally answered in the order they are received and if there is only one available, others may have reached out prior to your email so there are times when we will not be able to make the requested addition. When emailing in your request to add chicks, be sure to specify, “Please use my card ending in XXXX on file for this change”, to ensure a smooth and timely update to your order.

At this time we do not have the golden buff or rhode island red separately, but you can sign up for back in stock notifications to be notified when we do.
